Additive4Rail: the SNCF relies on 3D printing for the maintenance of its trains
SNCF pursues its 3D ambitions: after having invested the year in the 3YOURMIND software allowing the rapid identification and evaluation of spare parts that can be printed in 3D, the company signs the collaborative project Additive4Rail to significantly reduce its stock of parts in order to get as close as possible to the demand.
“The project will make it possible to print directly, in 3D, the parts that need to be changed. A significant time saving that goes hand in hand with a reduction in storage costs.”
