Additive4Rail, an R&D project to produce custom AM parts for the railway industry
The Additive4Rail consortium aims to develop the skills and processes needed to implement new additive manufacturing processes, on the certification issues involved in their industrialization and on an economic model to reduce costs.
“ The consortium will install a 150 square meter production line on one of the sites of the SNCF Charente-Périgord Industrial Technicentre, to manufacture and repair metal and polymer parts. From April 2022, a dedicated team of three people will multiply the tests there on the materials and machines developed by 4DPioneers, VLM Robotics and the Centrale de Nantes.”
